Join Chef Shawn Kraft, owner of Nonna’s Restaurant in Springfield, MO and Napolitano Chef and Sommelier Alfonso D’Alterio in Italy as we stay in a beautiful 18th century villa overlooking the island of Capri. Some of our itinerary options include a boat tour of the Amalfi Coast and Capri, authentic Italian cooking classes, wine tasting at Mt. Vesuvius, exploring Sorrento, Pompeii, and Capri. Exploring beautiful Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast and the Historic city of Napoli (Naples), this trip will take you to the amazing Roman ruins of Pompeii, the bustling age old markets of Napoli, the bright colors of Sorrento, Positano, and the classic beauty of Capri. Personally guided by Chef Shawn, you will spend time exploring the atmospheric streets of Napoli's old quarter, glide into Capri’s famous blue grotto on individually manned row boats, and you will ascend to the crater rim of Mount Vesuvius for wine and coffee and take in all the amazing food and drink the area has to offer. He became intrigued with Italy after his first visit and has since become a part time resident of Naples. Having travelled extensively throughout the country he has mastered the secrets of local Italians and would love to share them with you.

Born and raised in Naples Chef and Sommelier Alfonso is an expert In the many different regions and coastlines of Italy. For the past decade he has learned, traveled and dedicated his professional expertise to the culinary and tourism industry, however, he has a lifetime of experience dining, drinking and living the Italian lifestyle.
